Liz Lochhead Workshops

Liz Lochhead, Scotland’s National Poet, led a Filmpoem Workshop in Dunbar for the first ever Dunbar Street Art Trail, an event which filled the town centre with different types of art, all to coincide with the local John Muir Celebrations. Liz led the children in a workshop and a walk around sunny Dunbar; Today was written, read, recorded and filmed entirely by the children. Today was directed by Alastair Cook for Filmpoem.

Liz Lochhead, Scotland’s National Poet, led a Filmpoem Workshop in Greenock, with twelve children from Greenock Boxing Club Scotland. I Prefer Both was written read and filmed by the chidren in under two hours! This film is made all the more wonderful by the fact that everyone gave their time to the community voluntarily, and The Beacon Arts Centre in Greenock gave Filmpoem a room and hospitality to undertake the workshop; it was directed by Alastair Cook with sound design by Luca Nasciuti.
