Better Days is from poet and publisher Kevin Cadwallender’s collection, Dog Latin.

It was shot using Alastair’s retired iPhone 3G and edited using only still images.

Better Days premiered with Kevin reading live at StAnza in March 2012 as part of Filmpoem Live, an exploration of how one might develop beyond simple screening of film. It was also screened by request of the Belfast Photography Festival in 2013, positing the question – is this really a film? Film is essentially and traditionally constructed of edited single images. This is perhaps just a little more obvious.

With thanks to Mark Walters, who composed an adept and suitable soundtrack for this work.
